Ugh. We were just walking out the door - we had the idea of seeing a 9:30pm showing of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but opened the door to face an utter downpour. The thing is that it already poured for a couple hours today (you have to understand the most times, rain in florida is a ten minute thing; it rains then the sun comes out and that's that) and we got soaked running back to the car. It had cleared up though but now has started again in earnest. The parking lot for the movie theater is always way overcrowed - requiring that you walk really far to get from where you parked over in Guam to the theater entrance. Realizing that we'd end up getting soaked despite having an umbrella - it's just sheeting out there - and that being wet and miserable for a two-and-a-half hour movie wouldn't be all that fun, we're holding out to see if it will slow down so we can hit the last show of the night at 10:15pm. Poop.

Oh yes...one further thing. I sometimes think that some people who reach my site from oddball searches are simply high. What other explanation is there for this:

11 Jul, Fri, 04:21:17 Yahoo: they are yours eat some more m and m's computer hungry eat some mmmmmmmmmm

Alrighty then.

Hrm. Haven't posted in a couple days but then, there's really been nothing notable to post about. All day yesterday I couldn't get ezboard's network to load - it would literally take up to fifteen minutes to load a page without the default CSS and without any ezboard hosted images. Apparently, a bunch of people had issues, but just as many had none. Makes no sense to me since the rest of the net loaded without issue. It was annoying though since I couldn't get anything on ezboard to load.

Today my Love's out at the moment helping Rand get things moved into his house. He should be home pretty soon and we might go see a movie. Not sure though. Rand's going to be gone for two days (leaving tomorrow) for a business trip to Arizona, so I don't know if he'll be coming along if we see a movie. Tomorrow we have to head down to see my Love's family sometime - though no idea about details yet as none have been given - because it's his grandmother's birthday.

What a thrilling weekend, hu? :) Eh, I just wanted to sort of check it, but I really am sans entry material.

I answered it in my feedback, but as I have little else to ramble about right now, I'll go ahead and post it here as well:

Just randomly hit this site while researching paganism. This isn't what I expected. Oh well. I read a bit, and decided to ask questions that you could probably answer on your journal if you haven't already.

What are you so bored for? You seemed to have a busy day. Don't you have a job? Can't you drive to the nearest mall and at least window-shop? There have to be more things to do in Florida than you let on.

Actually, since you are so bored, answering these questions will give you something to do.

And my reply...

Nope, I don't have a job actually. We have only one car that works and my Love needs it to get him to and from work - leaving me sitting around the apartment all day with nothing [new] to do and nowhere to go. I don't even own a bike (where would I store it in an apartment?).

There's plenty to do in Florida if you have the money to travel around the state - I don't. There's theme parks and lots of different beaches, clubs, etc. but not as much stuff to do on a boring summer day that you can do from your apartment. Florida's a fun place to be on vacation and to visit, but the day-to-day isn't anymore particuarlly fun then anywhere else.

For the record, I am personally Pagan and there are a few snippits of info on my beliefs and such on the domain, but it's not specifically about paganism. You might want to try www.witchvox.com - they are a really great site.

So there ya go. Compelling stuff, eh? My big plan for the day is to take a shower and shave my legs. *lol* Whoo...exciting. I just get bored because I spend five days a week - pretty much 24 hours a day for five days a week - in my apartment. There's only so many episode of Judge Joe Brown you can watch and only so many times you can surf around the blogs you read. For the next couple days I can't even go on my balcony to sit and read because we have wasp problems and they coated the balcony in pesticide to try to keep the from reforming their nasty-ass nest again for a third time. Actually, right now, I have to go feed the kitty. She's just wasting away to nothing (this is said in sarcasm as she's massive and weighs in at about 15lbs). =D

Ta for now.

Man...I'm still bored.

So I did my registration (*cough a month late cough*) at the end of June and instead of just a new 2004 sticker, I got a whole new plate. In Florida, you get a new plate once every 5 years. Well, it's not been five years that I've had the car - only four. So I totally wasn't expecting to get a damned plate. The site didn't say anything about it when I did the registrations and didn't offer me the chance to pick a specialty one or anything. Then, to add insult to injury, they sent the damned wrong county! (The plates list the county on the bottom in Florida and I got the wrong one, even though I picked the right one from the list when I did the registration online and despite my address containing the very obvious city name that isn't in the county that the plate lists!) Idiots. So, after my mom stopped in and asked them about it - she lives in the county they sent - I can apparently take it in and pay the difference towards the plate I do want and now all I need is to figure out which one I like best.

My Love and I walked around the complex parking lot last night - as I was very bored and it was something to do at midnight - to look at the plates that people had. We both like the Protect Florida Panthers plate, the Protect Florida Whales plate (I didn't even know whales meandered this far south personally *shrugs* but it's a cool plate) and the NHL: Lightning plate 'cause hockey rules. (Though I think the plate itself is really kinda boring) I also happen to really like the Sea Turtle plate, but he does not at all. So...I need to figure out which one to get because dammit, I hate the fact it's got the wrong county on it now. Hell, I hate the fact it has a county listed at all - the one I got from the dealer when I bought it just said "Sunshine State" at the bottom instead. Why in the world they think we want to advertise what county we live in (all the better for stalkers, sheesh!) is beyond me.

We went over to Rand's house tonight to help him move in some more of his stuff. It's coming along. Though, there's no tv (at all; there physically isn't one there) or even a computer so when the guys ran over to his mom's house to pick up some stuff, it was a lot of fun sitting there with nothing to do! *lol* Actually, I had lent him my old cd player/tape player/radio boombox thingy and some of my cd's were in there and I ended up listening to that. Wasn't so bad. Just odd when there literally isn't a television in the house. :)

It's been a slow day on the net and I've been bored. Doesn't help that last night when I tried to make postcards, I was having an utterly shitty art day and I couldn't manage to get anything to look even half-way decent. Ugh. So frustrating. Then the phone rang a million times today - starting at 8:44am - and this is the second day in a row that I've been stuck waking up over and over all morning long. Leaves me with a headache and a slight queasy/dizzy feeling all day. No one's been posting much on the message boards I frequent, or the blogs I read and no one's been around on YIM even (though that's a small list because I hate being overwhelmed with people when I just want to talk to one here and there). In short, another really boring day.

Blah. So...yeah. Nothing particularly interesting to write about and I could keep bitching but even I don't feel like dealing with it, so I can't imagine why anyone would want to read it. I need more hobbies or just more to do. I'm feeling annoying sucky at everything and really useless. Oh well. I'm going to stop here before I get even more annoyed.

Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored.

Tried doing some artsy stuff for pX, but no good. Everything just sucks and nothing's there. No creative output, just bottlenecked desire to do something creative. The drive is there, just not the talent tonight.

Watched StarGate: SG-1 while trying to do the postcard thing (Monday nights they play five episodes in a row). I like the show, but I was only half interested in what was going on. Just didn't really care.

Tried surfing around to some of my frequent net stomping grounds, briefly skimmed over it and realized I didn't really feel like actually reading anything. It was boring and wasn't holding my attention, or there was nothing new that seemed interesting to read.

In short, I'm b-o-r-e-d-!

Grr. It's so annoying when you're just sitting around, wanting to do something but nothing is what you want to do. It's so frustrating! So, I'm Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. Bored. (So bored, I'm already bored writing this entry) Ugh. Everything just seems like way too much effort. Blah.

If you're insistant and bitch long enough, stupid companies will take you seriously and not try to rape you with asinine fees. (I had a check that, through no fault of my own, was denied for NSF that I had wrote to the supermarket. The bank credited me back their $27 NSF fee and I tried to contact the store to make good on the check. Almost a month later, I finally hear from them - they told me initially that I needed to wait until I got a letter from them - and they want me to pay the check [$134.75], plus $40 in service fees. I so don't think so. Fought with the manager today and he finally saw the benefit in customer service and waived the fee. Paid off the check like I've been trying to do since June 18th - the money's been untouched in the bank, waiting for them to get their act together - and it's over and done with. Asses. Don't fuck with your customers. They will make your life hell if you're being a bastard about the "policies." I don't want to hear you can't waive it - of course you can. Every company can - and will - to preserve good customer relations. I spend a couple hundred dollars a month there, every month and have for years; never once bouncing a check. Don't tell me there's nothing you can do about it)

In other news... Orb had this link on taking a quiz to find the candidate that best matches your political views. So I took it. Since it's not quite as fluffy a quiz, I'll add it here instead of in my quiz journal.

This is what it said for me:
100% Kucinich, Cong. Dennis, OH - Democrat
(hrm, don't think I'm familier with him, but a quick skim does show a lot of agreeable stances)

89% Moseley-Braun, Former Senator Carol IL - Democrat
(actually heard something about her the other day; she's the only black woman ever elected to Senate)

85% Edwards, Senator John, NC - Democrat
(He seems rather shady to me. Only some of his stances agree with mine and the ones that don't seem rather big deals - like supporting the PATRIOT act and such)

I thought it was funny to see that Dubya came in at -3% (really? that high? *lol*)

I don't know. I think, like Orb, I'll be watching as it goes on. I definately want to get my vote in this election (last time around, a move invalidated my registration and it was too late to change it) and put it towards someone - practically anyone; though I utterly hate Liberman - that's not fucking Dubya. Ugh. I can't tolerate him in office another four years. He's fucked up so much in such a short time, it's crazy. I may end up voting for someone that I don't like as much if they have a good chance of winning because I really, really can't tolerate another four years as-is. (And dammit, I don't want to move to Canada)

Oh well.

So.....that's it for now. Going to go work on some postcards. :)

The Good
Go to google

Type weapons of mass destruction

DON'T PRESS SEARCH! Instead, click the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button.

Read the page and laugh.

The Bad
Got to Busch Gardens yesterday at like 5-6pm or so (I'm not sure as my watch was broken) and wandered around, doing nothing, in a group with Rand's folks and a teenaged girl that's the daughter of another friend for hours. Hot, humid, miserable and bored we were went to see the fireworks at 10pm. Rand got to not feeling well, my Love was overheated and I was just ready to go home, but even though we came in two cars (Rand, my Love and I in one), his mom didn't want us to leave and was going to leave if we did, blah, blah blah, so we ended up staying to see the fireworks (Which were nice enough, just not worth hours and hours of being hot and uncomfortable and ready to go home). The lead singer from Bad Company was playing a show before the fireworks and there's apparently a big grassy area next to the Gwazi rollercoaster and that's were everyone went to see the show/fireworks. Afterwards it was a nightmare - we had to walk all the way across the street because the tram line was waaay backed up. Once we were there, we got to the car and proceeded to sit in line for over a half an hour trying to get out. We had to make a left turn, but they kept letting the trams cross straight instead and then the people were massing inbetween and infront of the cars and some light cycles not even ONE car got to make their left turn. It was fucking unbelievable. I was so happy to go home. By then, I was getting a full-fledged migraine and I just wanted to go to sleep.

The Ugly
TLC's Pros and Cons show. Ugh, that was crap. The joke of this post is the subtitle of the show: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. First off, it was literally a BBC show - not like a remake of a BBC show the way our Trading Spaces is their Changing Rooms - no, I mean it took place in London and the people were British and everything. The point of the show is that (in this episode, guess it changes each time) that this lady was planning her wedding and needed a wedding planner. So, one ("the good") is this famous wedding planner, the second ("the bad") is this woman who planned her own wedding, but it was a disaster, and the third ("the ugly") was this publising assistant guy who's never planned anything and is utterly clueless. They interview the three to find out who's going to get the job. That person has to not tell them the truth until the day of the wedding. The good had to tell the truth; the bad exgagerated; the ugly bald-faced lied. Well, they picked the ugly and proceeded to show this utter BITCH of a bride-to-be hate everything. Granted, he wasn't sleek about what he was doing but he sure as hell tried and did a damned good job as far as it was he didn't know shit. Plus, the wedding was in six weeks and they wanted like 220 people to arrive and were spending 15 thousand POUNDS (so that's like $25,000 currently per conversion rate). Sheesh!

Anyway, the show sucked. And if it weren't for the fact it was on at 1am and I had the beginnings of a migraine and I was just too out of it to bother trying to find something better to watch, I wouldn't have watched it.

The Rest
Not really anything else but the closing. So... ta.
