If you're insistant and bitch long enough, stupid companies will take you seriously and not try to rape you with asinine fees. (I had a check that, through no fault of my own, was denied for NSF that I had wrote to the supermarket. The bank credited me back their $27 NSF fee and I tried to contact the store to make good on the check. Almost a month later, I finally hear from them - they told me initially that I needed to wait until I got a letter from them - and they want me to pay the check [$134.75], plus $40 in service fees. I so don't think so. Fought with the manager today and he finally saw the benefit in customer service and waived the fee. Paid off the check like I've been trying to do since June 18th - the money's been untouched in the bank, waiting for them to get their act together - and it's over and done with. Asses. Don't fuck with your customers. They will make your life hell if you're being a bastard about the "policies." I don't want to hear you can't waive it - of course you can. Every company can - and will - to preserve good customer relations. I spend a couple hundred dollars a month there, every month and have for years; never once bouncing a check. Don't tell me there's nothing you can do about it)

In other news... Orb had this link on taking a quiz to find the candidate that best matches your political views. So I took it. Since it's not quite as fluffy a quiz, I'll add it here instead of in my quiz journal.

This is what it said for me:
100% Kucinich, Cong. Dennis, OH - Democrat
(hrm, don't think I'm familier with him, but a quick skim does show a lot of agreeable stances)

89% Moseley-Braun, Former Senator Carol IL - Democrat
(actually heard something about her the other day; she's the only black woman ever elected to Senate)

85% Edwards, Senator John, NC - Democrat
(He seems rather shady to me. Only some of his stances agree with mine and the ones that don't seem rather big deals - like supporting the PATRIOT act and such)

I thought it was funny to see that Dubya came in at -3% (really? that high? *lol*)

I don't know. I think, like Orb, I'll be watching as it goes on. I definately want to get my vote in this election (last time around, a move invalidated my registration and it was too late to change it) and put it towards someone - practically anyone; though I utterly hate Liberman - that's not fucking Dubya. Ugh. I can't tolerate him in office another four years. He's fucked up so much in such a short time, it's crazy. I may end up voting for someone that I don't like as much if they have a good chance of winning because I really, really can't tolerate another four years as-is. (And dammit, I don't want to move to Canada)

Oh well.

So.....that's it for now. Going to go work on some postcards. :)
