There are people on
the net that have nothing better to do with their time then be nasty
to other people online. They post rude comments, spend hours a day
talking about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend hours a
day talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and posters for
their opinions and their right to free speech. They expect everyone
to fit into their narrow-minded little world view or else they throw
a temper tantrum.
To these people I
say
grow up.
Here's a bit of
info people...the web is a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say
here, or who I am, or what I do, or talk about, or what I look like,
or the color of my hair, or whatever asinine thing you dwell on,
go somewhere else. It's really, really easy. Honest. You just
click the little "x" in the corner of your browser and *poof* the
offending, big, mean and nasty site has disappeared.
I pay for this
site. It's mine. That means I can use it for whatever the hell I
want to. Don't like it if I'm bitching about something in my life?
Oh fucking well. Go somewhere else. Think I'm stupid for expressing
my thoughts? Too fucking bad, don't read them. Somewhere along the
line, someone forgot this simple fact: Live and let live
Don't like me, cool, fine, whatever, I don't care. This
journal is NOT for you. It's for me. I'm not in it for popularity or
fame or anything stupid like that. I write it because I need to
write and express myself and get things out of my head sometimes. So
read or don't, it doesn't matter, but don't waste my time (or yours)
bitching about it.

Why Hello There, Journal I've been talking almost consistently in my entries lately about the new job. I mean, it's understandable since (a) it took so freakin' long to find one and (b) it's a big portion of my life and days right now, but I think everyone must be bored hearing about it since no one's been commenting much lately on the entries. Whoops, sorry I guess. I just tend to write about what's going on and well...the new job IS what's been going on.
Sunday I managed to make it through my shift sans dozing at my desk. Yay me! Of course, I got home and pretty much passed out for almost three hours when I meant to simply take a short nap. Oops. Oh well, I needed the sleep and Love nodded off on the couch at the same time so I don't feel so bad. Later, we went over to the supermarket and got some foodstuff and made egg sandwiches for dinner. (Cheap, easy and filling.)
Monday was a day off! Yay! So I slept in until about 10:15am or so and took some quality time nosing around the net. Took a shower, had the maintenance guy come out and replace our ill-working front door knob (turns out the plate was cracked and the "guts" of the handle were in pieces. Thankfully, the lock mechanism isn't in the door handle, but rather the deadbolt) and caught up on my orders. I packaged everything up AND made two new pieces as well. (A copper and red carnelian Tree of Life Pendant and a silver and amethyst Tree of Life memory wire choker. I'll probably get them photographed tonight and listed tomorrow.) When Love got home we went to the supermarket and got some more foodstuffs and I made us chicken and rice for dinner.
The Rest of the Week - Well, I have off again tomorrow (Tuesday) and Mom's coming by. I hope to get a chance to run by the post office and get a huge stack of things sent out.
Wednesday I open (9am - 2pm), Thursday I'm off, Friday I close (2pm - 7pm) and Saturday I'm off. I'm back in my probably standard open Sunday morning again (the same 8:30am - 12pm shift as yesterday.) Since I'm basically off the schedule for Saturdays, I'm kinda the default for Sunday mornings. (Of course, I'll have to see about either swapping with someone or having someone pick up my Sunday open on weekends that we head out to Disney since we normally get home super late like 1am or 2am at earliest.)
Nanny's 92nd birthday is on Sunday and the family is doing a lunch on Saturday at Red Lobster but I'm not sure we'll have the cash to go. Problem is that yes, I've finally found a part-time job, but I started on their payday. Which means I'll only get my first check this coming Friday and it probably won't be for much if they're a week behind like most companies are. Since this is rent check, it means yet ANOTHER two weeks before we start seeing the extra income to the household. So it's hard basically working for about a month...and still being REALLY broke. I know it'll work out in a few weeks and things will be better for the additional income (especially since I'll still be running PhoenixFire Designs which brings in orders here and there) and in the long-term we can get a little more balanced, but still. Right now? Broke. Painfully so. Which is frustrating. I just want the paychecks to start coming, you know? (And unfortunately, it's the same schedule as Love's. I was hoping we'd get mine on his "off" weeks but no such luck.) It's just more waiting and waiting but at least there's a light at the end of the tunnel finally. And so far - knock wood - I like the job and it's going really well.
*hums*
Alrighty well, I think that was the gist of what was on my mind. I still meant to post a pic of the Gracie cat since it was her birthday last Friday but I haven't had a chance. I need to go photograph the new stuff so I think I'll do that now. Look for some updates probably tomorrow.
