Reminder...

There are people on the net that have nothing better to do with their time then be nasty to other people online. They post rude comments, spend hours a day talking about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend hours a day talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and posters for their opinions and their right to free speech. They expect everyone to fit into their narrow-minded little world view or else they throw a temper tantrum.

To these people I say grow up.

Here's a bit of info people...the web is a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say here, or who I am, or what I do, or talk about, or what I look like, or the color of my hair, or whatever asinine thing you dwell on, go somewhere else. It's really, really easy. Honest. You just click the little "x" in the corner of your browser and *poof* the offending, big, mean and nasty site has disappeared.

I pay for this site. It's mine. That means I can use it for whatever the hell I want to. Don't like it if I'm bitching about something in my life? Oh fucking well. Go somewhere else. Think I'm stupid for expressing my thoughts? Too fucking bad, don't read them. Somewhere along the line, someone forgot this simple fact: Live and let live Don't like me, cool, fine, whatever, I don't care. This journal is NOT for you. It's for me. I'm not in it for popularity or fame or anything stupid like that. I write it because I need to write and express myself and get things out of my head sometimes. So read or don't, it doesn't matter, but don't waste my time (or yours) bitching about it.

*gets off soapbox*

Botanical Garden Photos
So, Saturday was free museum day. About six different museums in downtown St. Petersburg were free admission all day. Sounded like it was worth a drive to us! We had wanted to hit several, but it turns out everything closed at like 4:30pm or 5pm. (How lame is that?) So we only ended up hitting two places. The first was Sunken Gardens, a botanical garden that's over a hundred years old and purchased by the city of St. Pete in 1999 to save it. Lovely. The second is The Museum of Fine Arts. Unfortunately, we only had about 20 minutes to hurridly breeze through since we didn't know everything was closing so early. We had wanted to hit the Dali Museum as well but ran out of time.

Anyway, I did manage at the very least to get a lot of lovely photos of Sunken Gardens. I took over a hundred in fact. Many of them simply don't look all that impressive when resized and compressed like mad to make them web friendly. Which is a shame since most of them came out amazingly beautiful and are vividly detailed. I did take 24 images of the group and put them together across a few pages. So take a look and enjoy. They're quite lovely if I do say so myself.

Sunken Gardens - Tropical Flowers and Plants Photos

As always, the photo page lists all the various photo galleries I've taken over the years if you wanted to look at some other images.

Beyond that, not much of note going on. There wasn't anything at the movies worth seeing (and no, the last entry was not me looking for reasons to see Episode II. I am not in any way, shape or form paying to see that movie. So stop trying to talk me into it!) and since we're on the broke side (hence the free museum day and the remander of a gift card that prompted thoughts of maybe seeing a flick), it limits your options. In the end, we played some more Norath on PS2. We're trying to up Rand's character a bit so we can try the second one on the medium level. It's slow going. He plays the wizard and it seems that I (High Cleric) and Love (Shadow Knight) just do more damage and thus get more experience faster. I'm halfway to level 27, Love's just at 26 and poor Rand's at 24 I think. Oy. We're working on it though. I like the game, but we've already beat it and bought the sequal (Return to Arms) probably going on two months ago. But his character was too low to play it on the medium setting and the lowest setting was stupidly low.

So...... yeah. Ok, I think I'm going to go get a snack (haven't eaten yet today) and switch out the load of laundry. It's laundry day around here and since a ton needs to be done, I should probably stop putzing around and do it. Heh.

TTFN.
