Yes, it is as bad as you heard
I was hoping the horrid reviews for Van Helsing were simply from people who didn't "get" or enjoy that genre; people who didn't look forward to vamp flicks.

And so I hate to say it, but the movie lived up to all it's horrible, terrible and sadly dead-on reviews. It stinks. Utterly. It's shallow, it's frantic, there's no plot, nor character development at all and worst off, most of the CGI looks fake and rubbery. Let's not even get into the eye-roll-inducing scenes like where Anna (Kate Beckinsale) does a litteral Tarzan swing from one chain, back flip to another then catches a tiiiiny little needle thrown her way in midair. Ugh. Gag me now.

Anyway, it stinks. So if you were like me and curious - thinking it really couldn't be that bad - know that it is. Save yourself the $15 to buy it, the $4 to rent it and the excruciating two and one-half hours of stinky poop.

Few more pairs listed
I sold out of all but one pair of horns on ebay, so I listed a few more on five day auctions.

I also have some styles I haven't listed yet, ready and waiting to go. There's another of the cool red metallic devil horns listed, another pair of glow in the dark horns (which are also uv reactive!), and a new pair of neon orange devil horns (which are very bold and halloweeny.)

The horn sales have really helped this month. Just a little extra to help keep us in food and packing materials during the move. Which has really come in handy. I'm also going to be updating the PhoenixFire Designs site with some ready to buy direct from there. (And a little cheaper since I don't have to account for ebay fees!)

Anyway, if you had been thinking about getting a pair, there's just enough time left before Halloween to do so!

New Season
Just a reminder to any The West Wing fans - tonight is the season premier. Last season's finale is going to be on at 8pm with the new episode at 9pm.

All I can say is a) they better not kill Donna and b) they better have some consistancy this season - there were some really good and really stinky episodes last season.

And now, I'm going back to working on our first real dinner in the new apartment. My kingdom for real food instead of fast food! *chuckles*

Oh and Anon from Birmingham, Alabama? Fuck off.

Sore, Beat and Battered
Why do bath sets have to be so damned expensive? Bah. See, the master bathroom in the new place here has a totally amazingly cool roman tub. It's huge. But the problem is that I have absolutely nothing to use in it. I never used to take baths because our old tub was mildew coated tiny plastic crap that I didn't want to stand in let alone lay my body in. (Not that I, even being as small as I am could come close to comfortably fitting in it even had I been so inclined.) Now I have this massive, cool tub that's huge and clean and lovely and I'm sore and aching....and I have nothing to use in it for a good soak. I need one of those bath pillow thingies (or like a accessory set thingies) and some bath salts or something. I dunno, I just know it's too darn expensive. Bah.

Did I mention my entire body is sore? And that I'm utterly beat from this weekend? Yeah, I probably did. But man, I can't convey how bad it is. Ugh. Double ugh.

Oh well, nothing much to babble about at the moment so I'm out.

Four Days Later
It took FOUR DAYS to move everything. I've been working non-stop Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and today. Oh damn I'm fucking beat. Just set up my computer for the first time. Can you believe I haven't been on it since Friday? Sheesh. It's going to take awhile to get caught up. Got penguin orders to deal with (need to a. find my clay and b. make some penguins and c. get more small boxes to ship and d. get to the post office), two auctions ending tomorrow (one with a bid) and um...ya know, unpack. Of all of that, I want to do, well, none of it. I want to sleep for about a month. That and go to Disney World. I've been dreaming about it all weekend. Mmmmm....Disney World..... *sighs* Sadly isn't going to be able to happen anytime soon though. We're so broke and so far in debt from the move I can't even convey it without the depression rising up and drowning me. Let's just leave it at we're really screwed right now and call it done.

Anyway, if you contacted me wanted to, or whatever, I've been gone and I'm only now back so give me some time. Oy. So tired....
