Blogroll Me!
There are people on the net that have nothing better to do with their time
then be nasty to other people online. They post rude comments, spend hours
a day talking about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend hours a
day talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and posters for their
opinions and their right to free speech. They expect everyone to fit into
their narrow-minded little world view or else they throw a temper tantrum.
To these people I say grow up.
Here's a bit of info people...the web is
a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say here, or who I am, or what I
do, or talk about, or what I look like, or the color of my hair, or
whatever asinine thing you dwell on, go somewhere else. It's
really, really easy. Honest. You just click the little "x" in
the corner of your browser and *poof* the offending, big, mean and nasty
site has disappeared.
I pay for this site. It's mine. That
means I can use it for whatever the hell I want to. Don't like it if I'm
bitching about something in my life? Oh fucking well. Go somewhere else.
Think I'm stupid for expressing my thoughts? Too fucking bad, don't read
them. Somewhere along the line, someone forgot this simple fact: Live
and let live Don't like me, cool, fine, whatever, I don't care.
This journal is NOT for you. It's for me. I'm not in it for popularity or
fame or anything stupid like that. I write it because I need to write and
express myself and get things out of my head sometimes. So read or don't,
it doesn't matter, but don't waste my time (or yours) bitching about it.
*gets off soapbox*

Cable Company Idiocy
Ok, so I mentioned in the last post that we paid the cable bill on the 14th, but then got a notice that we had TWO months due with no credit for payment, right? Turns out they're typically, terribly Time Warner. Old apartment was in old county. New apartment is in new county. When we moved - back in October! - we had to actually start brand new service with the cable company, despite it being the same cable company, because of the cross in county lines. So. Get a bill. Pay said bill on the 14th. Automated system says account is paid up. Several days later, get another bill. This one shows two months of due and no payments made. Call cable company. Cable company says they didn't send bill. Old county cable company sent bill. They can't apply the payment to the new account because it's not the same system. (Even though it fucking is!) So they can send a bill with old cable company account number and accept our payment, but not apply it to new county account. Now we have to call old county cable, get them to transfer it to the new county cable account since we don't HAVE an account with them anymore and haven't had service since October! Grr! Anyone else see the absurd circular lack of logic here? How can you bill me for something I've not had for months and when I pay the bill like a good customer, you can't properly apply it because you sent the wrong bill out in the first place? so, in sum, there's $133 floating around in limbo somewhere - not on the old account because it doesn't exist anymore and not applied to the new since they can't take it from the old county account. How can you accept money that you don't actually apply to the account?? Time Warner by any other name is still Time Warner. And all the fun that goes with it.
