Reminder...

There are people on the net that have nothing better to do with their time then be nasty to other people online. They post rude comments, spend hours a day talking about sites they hate so much, that they well, spend hours a day talking about them. (lame) They mock the owners and posters for their opinions and their right to free speech. They expect everyone to fit into their narrow-minded little world view or else they throw a temper tantrum.

To these people I say grow up.

Here's a bit of info people...the web is a HUGE place. If you don't like what I say here, or who I am, or what I do, or talk about, or what I look like, or the color of my hair, or whatever asinine thing you dwell on, go somewhere else. It's really, really easy. Honest. You just click the little "x" in the corner of your browser and *poof* the offending, big, mean and nasty site has disappeared.

I pay for this site. It's mine. That means I can use it for whatever the hell I want to. Don't like it if I'm bitching about something in my life? Oh fucking well. Go somewhere else. Think I'm stupid for expressing my thoughts? Too fucking bad, don't read them. Somewhere along the line, someone forgot this simple fact: Live and let live Don't like me, cool, fine, whatever, I don't care. This journal is NOT for you. It's for me. I'm not in it for popularity or fame or anything stupid like that. I write it because I need to write and express myself and get things out of my head sometimes. So read or don't, it doesn't matter, but don't waste my time (or yours) bitching about it.

Brief Topic Overload
It's been a busy, busy week. Between preparing for and celebrating Solstice and Christmas, I've had almost no time to get anything else done. Shopping xmas eve for the final few gift items, doing laundry all day Thursday at Rand's, searching for over an hour for our resident escapee cat, Mika Wednesday night, wrapping gifts on xmas eve and baking cookies until 2am, getting an hour south to Love's family xmas breakfast at 11am followed by dinner an hour north at my family's, exchanging gifts today with our friend Rand and watching a movie, catching Phantom of the Opera the movie Wednesday night, spending the day with my Mom on Monday - whew. I'm beat.

It rained all xmas day. Dreary and cold out. Today the wind was frigid. A real bite to the air. Though it was like 49F temp, it felt like 43F even at noon. It was the kind of wind that just wipped into all the small inbetween spaces of your clothes. Brr. Wind chill advisories tonight - feels like below freezing - though thankfully, the horribly bleak rain has left and it'll warm up again this week. It was no fun having to drive around and lug gifts from the car in the rain though, let me tell you!

Overly simplistic thanks to Kathryn for the box of cookies, fudge and chocoloate and Lestat_17 for the wonderfully sweet gift of The Wild Wood (by my favorite author, Charles DeLint), and Stalking Tender Prey both from my wishlist. Also, big thanks to Luka for Halloween Postcard book and Tiffany Stained Glass Postcard book. (Also from my wishlist.) She's a dear as well.

I got some nice items for xmas - some shirts, a pair of shoes from my mom, the Godiva bear from Love, X-Men Legends for the GameCube from Love, the Complete Far Side Collection from my friend Rand - just to name a few. It was a good day. Despite all the business of it.

Now of course, we're broke. Ugh. Holidays. So anyone still wanting to take advantage of the special holiday sales for my jewelry, I could certainly use the sales. Having food to eat for the next two weeks would be a good thing. Heh. (I'm only half joking. Problem with the holidays is not that we go crazy on buying each other things, but that even limiting how much we spend on our family, it still adds up to quite a bit.)

Having some problem with our cable bill. We just paid it on the 14th, but then got a notice saying it's past due as of the 26th. How that's possible I don't know. (Where did $200 come from - two months of billing - in that short amount of time?) Bah. I hate Time Warner no matter what they call themselves these days. ("Bright House Networks" my ass. It's still TW.)

Anyway, so if I disappear, well, sadly, that's why. I hope it's just a confusion somewhere because it's going to stink not having cable or internet for a month if not. (Next check goes all to rent so it won't be until the one after that to get back to the bills. Hence the reason I'm freaked out about the due date. I can only pay the damned thing ONCE in 30 days, not twice!) At least I have tons of reading material which is like a dream for me. I love me some books! (I already read the Charles DeLint one I got last week and am working on one Love got me next, then I have the other one Lestat got me, the Griffon and Sabine trilogy from my secret santa, AND, thanks to felinevamp's quiz contest - and amazon gift card prize - I ordered a few more books for myself as a treat. I'm so set!)

I have an entire memory card full of images too. So tomorrow, I'll upload them off the camera and start sorting them out. Put some holiday galleries together. Hopefully, we can figure out what's up with the account so I can upload them. Just in case though, if I vanish, at least you'll have this mostly disjointed entry as an update.

Well, hope everyone had a good holiday season. And just in case, a wonderful New Year's as well. I think I'm going to sleep for a week. Hee hee I'm just worn out from everything going on all week, I could use it.

Take care all.
