A Litte Bit of This, A Little Bit of That
So, nine days. *grins* Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is coming up! It's close enough now that I can look at the extended, ten-day weather forecast for Orlando to see what the thoughts are for the weather. Currently, they're predicting a partly-cloudy day with a high of 75F and a partly-cloudy night with a low of 59F. Not as cold as I'd like it to be, but since it's a night event, it's not bad. Plus, it's better then it's been lately (all up in the low/mid 80's still during the day.) Of course, we still lack transportation and may end up having to rent a car. Though, last time we had to rent a car it was about $50 which is a hell of a lot of money and I'm not sure if we're going to have that much extra. (And if we do, it means we certainly won't be able to get anything in souvenirs or food while there. Bah. Damned car.

Speaking of money and the holidays, I'm going to list some of my jewelry items and penguins and stuff here so anyone who wants a neat, unique and hand-crafted gift for a friend or loved one can get it. I've got a bunch of items that have been sitting around, that I'll sell with holiday discounts so that you can get something and I can hopefully try to earn a little money so we can have a holiday too. Look for it later today, I'm going to work on putting together some special listings. I make nice things and I know people would enjoy getting something different this season.

Of course, tomorrow is Gorge Yourself On Turkey Day. Alternately known as Why Did I Eat So Much Pie Day and I Hate Driving To The Relatives Day. Or, of course, Thanksgiving. It's one of those mostly useless holidays which is really an excuse to force family obligations on you. We have, tomorrow, two households of course to attend - both Love's family and my own. Both locations are quite a distance away though thankfully, this time, both near each other. (Unlike Christmas obligations which are shapping up to be over an hour drive in one direction in the morning, then another hour drive in the other direction for the afternoon. Something I not only do not wish to do - for what is a holiday if you spend it all en route, are rushed and spend no time with your significant other? - but do not think the car can do. *sighs*) Anyway, Thanksgiving though is always eating too much, too much food, too many people around that you know but not really to make small talk with and too much time spent getting to-and-from. It's not a holiday, it's an obstacle course! Ah well. The parents and such love it, so we do it to please them. Though I would much rather it be so emotionally driven and that one could do as one pleases on the day without incurring the guilt of the family.

Anyway, poor Love is sick and just came home early, so here endeth the entry.
