So my tabby cat, Mika and I have a new daily ritual. Every day - most days a couple times a day - she follows me excitedly into the bathroom, jumps up on the counter and waits for me to turn the faucet on. At which point she drinks.
Oh yes, my cat drinks not from the water puddling in the sink, but from the running tap. In fact, she gets mad if I don't turn it on fast enough for her.
