Happy Halloween & Blessed Samhain to all!

Thursday, October 30, 2003

I went to make a post last night and blogger was down for maintenence. D'oh.

Quickie note 'cause I'm running late...

Tuesday was Karii's actual birthday. She had to work, but my Love decided that no one should be without a cake on their birthday. So Monday night we went to the store and bought cake mix and frosting, etc. Tuesday day I baked a cake. Hee hee. Hadn't done that in awhile. Made a yellow cake with a yummy triple chocolate chip icing. I also stuck some of the Brachs pumpkins on it with the candles since she's a Halloween-ish baby. She came by after work and was surprised with cake. Everyone said it turned out great and I think it was a nice idea. :)

Yesterday my Love came home during the day (at lunch) because he wasn't feeling well. We watched Angel and The West Wing as usual in our Wednesday night routine. I'm really sad at the direction the West Wing's gone since Aaron left. It's like all the characters are just wrong now. Leo's being a horrible ASSHOLE; Josh is getting his ass handed to him weeks in a row; Will left; Amy left; it looks like CJ's getting ready to leave - what the fuck is going on here and why are they ruining the show??! We are die hard WW fans and it's like a chore this season to actually watch the show. I mean we have a standing rule that no one calls or comes over on Wednesday nights specifically because we have to see WW. And it's getting to a point where we feel like watching Angel and recording WW. It shouldn't be that way. It shouldn't be that the best drama on tv annoys us, bores us and makes us not want to watch it. Who the hell decided to dumb it down and make it a daytime soap opera? UGH.

Today, I'm supposed to be going over to the craft store with Jef to get some clay. He wants me to make him a pair of horns for tomorrow. He's going to a party of some people we know. They of course snubbed us on the invite (not that we'd probably want to go anyway; I've always been way bored at their parties) and wouldn't say two words to us at bowling? (Yeah, well, fuck you too. I've got better thing to do then worry whether or not you like me. Boo hoo.) We're going to head over and hand out candy in costume at Rand's and then we're going to go out and do something after that. We just haven't figured out what after that. *lol* I'm going to wear my black corset and angel wings and maybe some horns and/or fangs. Be some fallen angel in black kinda thing. I'll take pics. ;)

Anyway though I need to go so I can hop in the shower and all that good stuff. Ta for now.

*la la la.... hums*

Yeah, I don't really have anything to post about today. Nothing much going on. We're broke 'til Friday (having gone overboard with buying a few things this weekend, like the Indiana Jones dvd set for $35 at Wal-Mart - but it was a GREAT price!) so...yeah, not a lot going on.

Mika!
Today marks six months that we've had our tubby tabby girl, Mika. I was reminded because of a show on Animal Planet called "Adoption Tales". It was cute and it made me realize we adopted her six months ago today.

Spam!
I think this has to be one of the funniest lines in a spam email I've ever received:
how will it feel being told by girls you've got a large thick peice of man meat? Good?

Thick peice of man meat? *mwahahahahaha!* Oh my. That's just so damned cheesy! (Not to mention, they're really trying to sell that to the wrong person. I don't need any enlargement - not having that equiptment nor being that gender ! Just so funny though. Who actually clicks this shit? I mean seriously. Are there that many guys out there thinking to themselves that they need a "thicker peice of man meat" (in those words too) and they only wish something would show up in their inbox to tell them how to make that dream come true? *laughs*

Anyway, just a blathering post, so there's no real point to keep blathering. Besides, I'm hungry and there's a pack of raviolis sitting in the freezer with my name on it. Ta for now.

*yawns* I'm sleepy. So is my Love. We tried to take a nap this afternoon/evening after falling in absolute LOVE with an apartment we want oh so bad (and is in our price range and now we just need to pass the credit check...) but it didn't work out so well. The Jerry Springer Show that is our building kept it from happening.

So....yeah...apartment hunting and apartment falling-in-love-with today. Oh gods, I want it. It's a 1/1 with a LOFT that you reach via one of those uber cool black, iron spiral staircases. And the bathroom...? IT HAS A ROMAN TUB! *drools* Oh, it's so lovely. And new. And beautiful. And on a preserve so it's surrounded by trees and water. *whimpers* Oh I want it so badly.

Today is apparently Daylight Savings Time Endsday. You know the whole 2am and things go back to Standard Time thing. Tonight, an extra hour of sleep. Whoo hoo. Groovtacular. Apparently though, I - along with pretty much everyone else - are wrong. It's not "daylight savings time" it's just "daylight saving time." Eh, fuck off.

Um.....yeah. Post. This isn't much of one. But like I said in the opening, I'm tired. We went bowling this eve for Karii's birtdahy party (catching up with the group at the bowling alley after they ate at a Japanese resturant which posed a ER Trip threat for my Love - being allergic to garlic and them doing that big, "cook everything all together thing" not to mention neither one of us really liking Japanese food or vegetables). I had my worse game ever throwing like a 65 or something. *lol* My Love did even worse though so I don't feel so bad. Then again, I truly am a horiffic bowler. I don't particularly like it so eh... no biggie if I suck at it.

Hrm. Ok, babbled enough. Want apartment. Want apartment badly.
