Ho hum. So...watched Game 5 of the 2nd round Stanley Cup Playoff game between the Lightning and the Devils (boo hiss) on Friday and the Lightning totally got robbed. The game ended up in triple overtime (they played the regulation game of three 20-minute periods, AND played three playoff 20-minute each overtime periods as well; basically playing TWO games worth of hockey) losing 2-1. What sucks about it is that NJ got the only powerplays of the entire game (four of them) and the Lightning actually won the game 2-1 in regulation, but they disallowed the Lightning goal, which forced them to try to win the game twice and they just couldn't do it. The reffing was so bad that it the Lightning season is over because of it. Not one penalty was called on NJ in 110-odd minutes of play - not one - and they wrongfully took away what should have been the Lightning's winning goal. It's one thing to play and to lose, but it's another to have the ref's pretty much flat-out cheat and rip you off in a very unfair game. Even the announcers were shocked by the calls made - and the calls NOT made against NJ. It was a sad and frustrating game and I really felt so bad for the Bolts. They really played excellent and they really did earn a Game 6.

Tonight (though the timestamp will show this for Sunday, I mean Saturday night as it's still Saturday in my mind), we went and saw X2. I liked it. I liked it a lot better then I liked the first. I am an old school, die-hard, yes-there-are-tons-of-comic-books-in-their-little-sleeves-in-a-box-in-my-closet (and the I-only-stopped-reading-them-because-I-couldn't-pay-rent-and-keep-up-my-habit *lol*) kinda X-man fan and the first one really disappointed me because all the characters were such wussies. But in this one, they were cool! Yeah for cooler usage of already cool characters! And Jean - The famous Ms. Grey herself; aka Phoenix - was Kick-ass. (can you tell she's my favorite?) I say go see it! Weeee!

Hrm. Think that's it for the moment. Ta.
