I hate laundry. I'm so lazy about doing it. And today is proof. It's pants weather outside (it's about 59F out there) and not only are all my pairs of jeans dirty still (like they have been all week), put the one pair of pants I have that aren't jeans (a charchol grey pant with a flair bottom that my sister gave me) I've worn three times already (including last night to the hockey game). Blarg.

So here I am, trying to get dressed so we can run out and get some errands done (and hit Victoria's Secret for thier semi-anual clearance - the only time I ever get anything from them) and I have no damned pants to wear. *grumbles* Should have done laundry the other day. But, in my damned laziness I just didn't and now I'm stuck.

*goes off to rummage through drawers for a casual pair of work slacks or something*

Man, I've been boring lately.

Sorry about that.

*wanders away*

Aw poop.

That was the final of the game we went and saw tonight. *grumbles*
(in the event it's not obvious, we went out there to see the Bruins - my Love's favorite team)

Dord The word that wasn't a word, but made it into the dictionary anyway.*lol* (amusing story of how a non-word creeped into publication nontheless)

Headache today. Will work on xmas overview entry later tonight. :)

Wow. Sooooo tired. Just got home. Been up since 8:30am. Breakfast with my Love's family and dinner with mine. Got a TON of cool stuff. Just tired now - and it turned out to be quite plesantly crisp today so I'm craving some time under a blanket - and wanting to sit. Pics and details tomorrow!

Merry Christmas Everyone!

So my friend Rand's in Holland right now visiting with his family for the holidays. I've learned the following of his time there so far:
-it's freezing cold
-he's wondering why he went in winter and not summer
-he actually misses seeing the sun
-his step-father broke the second bathroom toilet their first night there
-they failed fixing it once but have finally managed to now
-he toured a working windmill (it was grinding grain)
-there's more cars there then there was the last time he was there
-it's really, really freakin' cold
-he's stuck with about $400 (american) in dutch money he can no longer exchange for euros
-he really, really misses his computer and dvd player.

*lol* (you can tell right?) Actually, it's pretty neat getting the emails since it's someone I actually know who's overseas. :)

Wrapped up some of my Love's gifts tonight - oh he's gonna love 'em - and one I've been waiting for since December 10th showed up FINALLY in the mail. That and my friend Jef ordered him "Smoke Signals" on dvd (you can't find the darn thing anywhere) back on the 17th with SECOND DAY delivery and it only now, at like 6:00pm, came via UPS. I'm just happy both mail things made it in the nick of time.

Food's cooking, I'm hungry and my Love's out there by his lonesome, so for now I'm out. Tomorrow's a busy day with my Love's family getting together 45 minutes south of us for brunch at 11am and then my family getting together 45 minutes north of us for dinner at about 3:30-4pm. Always a busy day - holidays are jam-packed full of stuff to do. Wishes to all for a joyous holiday season! :)

My dishwasher has three settings:
-heavy wash
-normal wash
-light wash

Why do they bother with normal and light? I mean it's fucking food crusted to plates for crying out loud!

I find this hysterical. It's a large pic, but it's well worth the viewing. *lol*
-Thanks to WolfVayne for finding it.

Went out yesterday and got myself a very nice pillar candle and lit it and let it burn the night through for Solstice. It was nice. Very symbolic to the darkest night of the year and the candle helping keep the promise of light's return. :)

Hung out with my mom today a bit. She wasn't feeling too well - she has good days and bad days - and she was trying to sell some of her jewerly to a dealer about 30 minutes south of me but he didn't want any of it. My sister needs about $3,000 in dental work (cavities, cracked tooth, root canals, crowns, etc.) because she's let it go and go and go and now it NEEDS to be done and she doesn't have health insurance. It was a shame that we drove all the way there on a day my mom was feverish and in pain and it was for nothing.

My Love came in tonight, shooing me away while he smuggled in some of my xmas gifts (yup, he's just getting to buying things now!). I got one of his wrapped while he was gone (I got him his several weeks ago). He's going to be making my mom a computer for xmas and getting the case tomorrow - he did the same for his parents the year before - so we have a bit of a tradition to doing things the very last minute. :)

Nothing much going on, just thought I'd post since I hadn't really in a couple days. Hope everyone has a Happy. :)
