Handmade Faerie Cottage / Fairy House

I got inspired by an unpainted wooden "birdhouse" found at my local craft store. I painted the entire structure with several shades of browns and accents of white, cream and copper. Next, I used a hot glue gun to add the river rock stones all along the base and on the chimney. After that, I finished with lichen moss on the roof mainly in green but adding in touches of oranges, reds and yellows. The whole piece took me about six or seven hours to complete but I absolutely love it. This is the very first one I've made and I think I will be making more in the future. I'd like to explore other styles, materials and designs. I can picture this little cottage hiding in the deep, enchanted woods somewhere, being home to a little fairy or pixie.
