The Weekend In Review
So I'm behind on getting around to an update again. It's just - WHOOSH - time keeps flying by. In fact, it's now only THREE DAYS until my birthday. Come Friday, I'm turning 31.
But, let's rewind a smidge and get caught back up.
Saturday - Love and I decided to make a trip, just the two of us, out to WDW. See, for the last couple years, most of the time we're doing things with other people. Which is great and all, but sometimes it's just nice to have a "couples" day. So that's what we did. Got off to a little bit of a late start as my stomach just was not agreeing with me. But, we got out there and had a great day. Got to ride a preview of Toy Story Mania which isn't open yet and MAN was it fun.

It's themed to look like you're entering Pixar Studios when you enter.Everything is done up in FULL toy mode. The buildings have toys like Little Green Army Men and Barrel of Monkey monkeys while the queue is totally done up with toys like Candyland, Tinkertoys, and a giant animatronic Mr. Potato Head.

The still-under-construction gift shop has the Green Army Men hoisting up a Scrabble board with secret messages. It's a TON of fun. You go through several carnival-style games where you shoot at various things for points. But it's done in 3D. It's a ton of fun and I can't wait to ride it again. It's totally my new favorite thing to do in MGM. (Er, I mean "Disney's Hollywood Studios" not that I'll ever call it that.)
After MGM, we hit Epcot and then finished the day at Magic Kingdom. I got a birthday button because I figured this was my pre-birthday trip for just Love and I. And man, I had so many nice things. In the Liberty Inn we stopped for lunch and they gave me a free apple pie and a toy slinky. And, in Frontierland in MK, one of the cast members got all the people walking past to sing "Happy Birthday" to me and then gave me a cookie. I had a ton of people wish me happy birthday and it was just the special, "all about the birthday girl" sorta day that makes it so fun. Despite being a reported high of 93F (34C) and the humidity through the roof so that we spent the entire day covered from head to toe in sweat, it was a fun day.
Sunday - We spend the day in bed. See, while we had the best time ever on Saturday, right before we left, we got sick. And then had to drive home. And then got stuck for a half an hour for no reason trying to get our exit to head back home. Two cops just had the road blocked and sat there. When we finally got past, no accident, no construction, nothing. They were just clearing the roads completely and we have no clue why.
So anyway, Sunday we were still recovering from whatever ailment made us both puke. Mom went up to Nanny's but I didn't go. In fact, I slept so much through the day that I didn't even call her. (Bad M, bad!) So I had to call her Monday instead. But overall, Sunday was a complete wash.
Monday - Um, what did I do Monday? I called Mom. And I worked on some stuff that needed doing. I meant to head to the post office but I never made it.
Tuesday - Made it to the post office! Huazzah. Though damn. Prices have gone up again. It cost me $15 to mail out four packages today. Ouch. I cringe to think of what the big box I'm going to have to ship to Canada for the Giant Multi-Theme Swap from Craftster is going to cost.

The crappy thing is that I really need to bump my shipping costs on
PhoenixFire Designs again. I was barely covering the cost of materials and postage before but now...? Especially since it's so much more to drive to the store to buy supplies or to the post office? Ugh. I always hate expensive shipping online so I try never to be that person. My shipping prices currently start at $2.50 for something like a bracelet or pair of earrings. But I think I'm going to need to bump that. Which sucks, but what can you do? Stuff is more expensive now for me to get, and I wasn't making a big profit on it to start with.
A n y w a y . . . I think that mostly brings us current. I'm freaking out/excited that my birthday's coming up in three days. I can't help but get excited about things like that even when I'm cringing about the added year. Still, it's like
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! and well, I talk about it obsessively.
Well, it's time to go get dinner so I'm out. Hope everyone had a nice weekend and a nice Mother's Day as well.
