Damned theives
Ok, it's bad enough having to track down people who flat-out, word-for-word steal things from my sites and claim them as their own, forcing me to send nasty emails to them, their webhosts, and their complaint departments with the same dry DCMA information over and over, but you know, it's somehow that much more rude to use someone's idea to sell your own copy. I came across a livejournal entry (from my referers page) where this girl was talking about how she made clay horns. Someone replies and says she'll buy some. So the girl links to my own page of horns for sale and says basically, here's what some look like, pick one and I'll make it for you. What the fuck? People suck ass. Fucking asshole morons. I hate people and every day I find more reasons to have them just a little bit more.

My pc went into fits yesterday so I haven't had it on since. I just logged in to check my email (to discover people still not complying with my requests that they remove my stolen coprighted material from their pages) and now I'm out. We're going to watch Hellboy on dvd so eh, see what that's like.

Did I mention how much people suck and how fed up I am with them? Fucking theives. Grr.

Witches Weekly - July 24th
Oops. With the lack of pc time I forgot to do this week's Witches Weekly. So I'll go ahead and get it up now before the next set of questions is posted.

What do you find most annoying about the Pagan Community?
Oh boy, several things. Fluff bunnies and Wicca-boppers for one. Those 15 year olds who are all "I was born a High Priestess and am very powerful!" idiots; the people who try to get overly touchy-feely with you; the people who don't know squat about the history of various Pagan traditions or origins and yet talk about how "cool" it is, etc. I also hate people who find the most annoying, false things to loudly proclaim - "never again the burning times!" - as if there were really women with pointy hats burning on stakes. *sighs* I'm all for religious tolerence, just try not to sound so...silly would you? Also, it's frustrating when people make assumptions or worse, judgments! on your tradition, path, or blend of faith. Those who think only certain groups are the "real" thing or that if you don't belong to a coven, you're just a poser. For being a group that asks for, speaks of and generally embraces difference of opinion, some can be a damned closed-minded lot.

Are there any specific symbols that are sacred to you or that you hold close to you?
The Triple Goddess waxing/full/waning tree-moon phase symbol is very special to me. I appreciate the cycle of it; the ever-changing and yet patterned nature it represents. It is the charm that I most often wear. I also find moon symbolism in general to be very special to me.

What's one thing that you think the Pagan Community needs?
Hrm. This is a hard question. What I think I need as a Pagan is probably completely different then what others might feel they need. I need less fluff. I need less posturing. I need more down-to-earth and common sense discussion. I need less drama. I need less children involved in the way they are (not to say kids can't be involved, just that they can't act like adults who know it all and come off as being better then those who have more life experience). I need people I can talk to like people and NOT filled with "blessed be's" and "perfect love and perfect trust!" every other sentence. More open-mindedness, more sharing of personal beliefs. A HELL of a lot less of morons like "silverwolf ravenmoon" or whatever the fuck her name is. Stuff like that is why people don't take it seriously and it's an embarassment that people pay her money to scam them and lie to them. Maybe we just need more leaders or true elders, I don't know. Maybe we need some more cohesion and ways of communicating with each other better. I just know there's so many out there curious and wanting to make connections with people who run into the garbage first - which often taints them to the entire concept. Those who are speaking the loudest are those with the least quality of things to say. And perhaps that just needs to change.

Same old, same old
Really nothing has been going on lately. Haven't been spending much time on the pc because of the not wanting to run it for too long/don't want it overheating issue. I have to take my car back up to the mechanic on Monday; turns out that the other day it was THREE QUARTS short of oil (and the guy had just done an oil change two weeks ago and we'd NEVER been that short of oil before; i.e. no prior leaks) AND my a/c isn't working again. We drove all the way out to Orlando without it. It's just blowing hot air. So I'm pissed because those were two things I just had fixed a couple weeks ago and now aren't working again. Dammit.

PayPal apparently settled out of court with some class-action lawsuit about improper proceedures and whatnot. If you're a PayPal user who signed up between October 1, 1999 and January 31, 2004, you can fill out the form appropriate to you and probably get some cash back from it. Go Here. The site isn't always coming up though because it's really overloaded at the moment, so if it doesn't work at first, keep trying. It's like when I got the $17 or whatever it was from the CD prices class action suit. Better in my pocket then theirs and hey, cash is cash, you know? :)

So all the dust settled and the bills cleared and somehow, yet again, we are painfully broke once again. I swear I thought we planned out the bills and weren't going to be in this mess. I thought we had finally gotten caught up. Turns out we haven't. And it's so damned frustrating. We didn't even spend any money at WDW - just a couple of burgers and an umbrella because we forgot to bring ours and it started pouring. I'm looking at the account and trying to figure it all out and where it all went. And of course, wondering as always how we're going to have enough money to get us through the next week. Next check is rent which means it takes up almost all of the check, so if we're low now (and we are, badly) then it won't get better and there won't be relief next week because rent needs paying. I'm just so sick of it being so damned hard. We barely limped through the last two weeks and now we're stuck in the middle of it again and will be next check as well. We can't catch up and can't even pay everything we need to pay. Where does it all go? It's not like we're out partying all the time, we barely ever leave the house, let alone do anything. *sighs* The bills are just overwhelming and we're drowning in it all. I don't know what to do.

So yeah. Same old, same old. Bummed, bored, broke. And the light at the end of the tunnel has been removed due to buget cuts.

Whew. Beat
In sum: Fun day yesterday. Long. Got home late (like 2am). Tired. Walked like 12 miles yesterday (we measured with a step-counter thingy). Had my beautiful Dole Whip. It rained. We left our umbrella in the car. Had to buy another. *laughs* Love the crap out of WDW. THANK YOU AGAIN NICOLE! As soon as we figure out what's with the pc I'll have more pics to share. Good day. Needed one.

Ta for now.

Headaches and Hot Pc's - oh my!
So I had to log into my email to confirm the last minute details with my friend at AK who's so wonderfully providing us the tickets for WDW tomorrow. Good thing I did, we need to meet her a little earlier then planned, though that's fine! Just more time to spend at the park. :)

Woke up this morning with this awful headache. And I still don't know exactly what caused it. My head's been pulsing and throbbing, and it feels like a vice is crushing it. It's not a migraine though because I'm not having the light sensitivity problems nor the pain in my eyes the way I do when I have those. This is wholly different (though just about as painful). My Love suggested it might be a sinus headache but it's weird because I don't have pain in my cheeks (which is where I just read you often do) and I don't think I've ever had a sinus headache before. I checked all the counts and they're not high and my nose isn't especially bothering me either (though my right ear's been driving me bonkers with being all clogged up now that I think about it so the two are probably connected). I took some benedryl though since I couldn't move without the pulsing getting worse and almost knocking me off my feet, and it did seem to help a little. (Though of course, it made me sleepy and I took a nap thereafter.) Who knows though. Just oddness. No matter what though, my ass is going to be at Disney World tomorrow and that's that.

We're still no closer to an explanation of this pc weirdness. I should mention that my Love is in IT and manages 500 computers for his company for a living. (He even has two guys in his department under him.) So we're not new to pc repair. *chuckles* It's just that it acts like something's been changed, though nothing has. And my pc worked here for over two years without a hiccup. Then all of a sudden, we burn through two processors and the problem seems to be coming back to threaten the third. It's so damned odd.

The Happiest Place On Earth...oh, I can't wait. It's so silly. We were last there in June before our passes ran out. It's not like it's been years or anything. Just that I love the place so much and it's such a great escape for me, I've really missed it. It'll be so good to get away and have a fun time. Of course the weather looks like shit, but it's July in Florida, so what do I expect?

Actual predicted high: 92F with a feels-like of 102F and 40% chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Joy of joys. *sighs* It's days like this I think old Uncle Walt didn't think his Florida Project plan all the way through. Though we were watching the "EPCOT" film on the Disney Treasures: Tomorrowland dvd and his plans for EPCOT (the city, not the theme park) including doming off and climate controlling the central hub of the city. Clearly he realized at least to some degree the brutality of central Florida heat and clearly my dreams of having a domed off MK aren't that far from the mark! By the way, the dvd is really cool and has all kinds of things - such as the EPCOT film which was made a scant two months before Walt's death and was never before released in it's entirity to the public - that are very facinating to watch. I definately recommend it to anyone with an interest in space, the 50's views of tomorrow (which many were quite surprisingly accurate), or Walt in general. Very interesting stuff.

Alright, well, I think I've both babbled and used the pc just about enough. Time to close. Take care all.
